UNS N06025 is a yttrium-zirconium microalloyed nickel-chromium-iron-aluminum high-temperature alloy with a high chromium, high aluminum, rare-earth yttrium composite system. It can form a dense double-layer protective oxide film at extreme temperatures up to 1200°C, offering industry-leading performance in cyclic high-temperature oxidation resistance, carbon penetration resistance, metal dusting resistance, and chlorine-containing flue gas corrosion resistance. The combination of carbon, zirconium, and titanium enhances long-term high-temperature creep strength. It has stable hot and cold working and welding forming properties, and the high-temperature oxide scale is not easy to peel off and contaminate workpieces. For this reason, it has been widely used for many years in fields with extreme high-temperature corrosion conditions, such as calcining furnaces, waste incineration radiation tubes, coal gasification equipment, high-temperature heat treatment tooling, rotary kiln internals, and paper-making alkali recovery boilers.

Chemical Composition

Nickel (Ni) content is the remainder, forming the UNS N06025 alloy matrix, stabilizing the austenitic structure, and providing long-term toughness at high temperatures. 
Chromium (Cr) content ranges from 24.00% to 26.00%, forming an outer protective chromium oxide layer to resist high-temperature oxidation and sulfidation corrosion. 
Aluminum (Al) content ranges from 1.80% to 2.40%, forming a dense inner alumina layer that blocks corrosive media penetration. 
Iron (Fe) content ranges from 8.00% to 11.00%, balancing cost and optimizing both hot and cold workability. 
Yttrium (Y) content is 0.05%~0.12%. This rare earth element greatly improves oxide film adhesion, preventing peeling during thermal cycling. 
Zirconium (Zr) content is 0.01%~0.10%, refining grain boundaries, suppressing high-temperature intergranular cracking, and enhancing creep resistance. 
Titanium (Ti) content is 0.10%~0.20%, helping stabilize high-temperature structures and reducing brittle phase precipitation. 
Carbon (C) content is 0.15%~0.25%, with enough carbon to precipitate grain boundary carbides, strengthening long-term high-temperature strength. 
Manganese (Mn), Silicon (Si), Copper (Cu), Phosphorus (P), and Sulfur (S) are limited to 0.50%, 0.50%, 0.10%, 0.020%, and 0.010%, respectively, strictly controlling impurities to ensure stable long-term high-temperature performance.

Mechanical Properties

Tensile Strength: 670 MPa, showing the maximum stretching force the material can handle. 
Yield Strength: 270 MPa, the force at which the material starts to permanently deform. 
Elongation: 30%, indicating the material’s plastic deformation before breaking, so bending plates or forming furnace tubes is less likely to cause cracking. 
Hardness: 210 HB, representing the material’s resistance to indentation; annealed state allows good machinability. 
Fatigue Strength: Stable under high-temperature oxidation, carburization, and chloride cyclic heating; the material doesn’t peel or crack easily during repeated heating and cooling. 
Elastic Modulus: 215 GPa, reflecting the material’s stiffness, with minimal deformation under high-temperature stress and excellent dimensional stability for high-temperature furnace components.
